In his book the 5 am Club, Robin Sharma talks about how some of the most successful people in the world wake up early in order to prioritize healthy habits that begin their day in a positive way. He gives a simple example of waking up one hour earlier than usual and dedicating that hour to 20 minutes of exercise, 20 minutes of learning a new skill, and 20 minutes to reflect on your goals.

What if you could have one non-negotiable hour per day guilt-free just for you?

What would you do?

Would you go for a walk and watch the sunrise?

Would you listen to a podcast?

Would you enjoy a slow ritual of making your morning cup of coffee or tea?

Would you talk to your partner?

Would you learn a phrase in Spanish?

Small habits done regularly yield amazing results!

You don’t have to put the non-negotiable hour first thing in the morning, but it’s certainly easier to set the tone for the day when the first hour is a gift just for you. It’s certainly easier to remember that the day can unfold just as you choose.

Question: “What would you do with your golden hour?”
