In 2012, at that moment in the emergency department when I felt I had screwed up my life choices, I would never have guessed that I would ever be on the other side of burnout. I didn’t know much about personal development, core values, or habits. I didn’t even know how to take care of my own health!

I only knew that going forward, I didn’t want my life to look that way.

Have you reached this point yet?

Regret is bittersweet. Most people accept regret and continue in the same way for the rest of their lives. Unconscious. Asleep. They are resigned to what Thoreau called a “life of quiet desperation”.

But your past does not define the limits of your future. Everything is yet to be revealed. And it’s unscripted.

If you look at your life and feel any sense of dissatisfaction, whether it’s the transactional minutiae that steals your time, piles of distracting paperwork, or endless complaints–look at it all and ask yourself if this will be the life that you choose to keep.

At this moment, make a choice.

Will you accept your life’s past choices as reasons for regret?

Or will you take those mistakes and failures and learn to pivot?

I want you to have what I had in 2012–a moment of reckoning. Not a reckoning born of a health crisis or pandemic or unkind words. But a moment of honesty with yourself.

Do you want your current life?

Or do you want to change it?

Don’t listen to the voices of those around you. Sometimes, even people who love you don’t know what’s best for you. You decide.

If you’re ready to change and work for a better life, let’s do this work together.

Question: do you want this life? or do you dream of something different for yourself?
