Whenever I want to change a part of my life, I ask myself these 4 questions:
What are my current beliefs/thoughts?
What do I need to accept must change?
What would the ideal situation look like?
What is my strategy to get there?
Earlier, I shared how I was able to engineer more freedom into my work schedule as a shift worker. I could have accepted that I couldn’t do anything but accept what was given to me.
When you accept what happens to you, you don’t make conscious decisions. You merely react. You might make choices, but you don’t really decide. And if you get into the habit of not deciding, you’ll have to accept the habit of regretting what might have been possible.
Question: “In what area of your life will you promise to make a conscious decision?”
